We had small red and yellow ball bath balls from an old installation in our basement. They became cherry and banana ice cream scoops for Operation KiBa. / CC BY Niklas Roy & Kati Hyyppä

We thought it would be fun to spread all the balls across the play field in the beginning of the game. For this purpose, a giant ice cream bowl with a tipping mechanism was built. / CC BY Niklas Roy & Kati Hyyppä

A wooden ice cream wagon was also built to be able to transport the installation parts. The wagon also included two joysticks and served as a game controller. / CC BY Niklas Roy & Kati Hyyppä

The goal of the game is to collect as many as possible balls on a tray. The yellow tray is for the yellow 'banana' vehicle and the red one for the red 'cherry' vehicle. The color of the balls doesn't matter - otherwise the game is very challenging, but players can also develop their own rules. / CC BY Niklas Roy & Kati Hyyppä
